0.10/0.25 NL, Hitting Bottom Set
Did I play this hand poorly? I raised 55 UTG because the table was very tight/passive.
I didn't have any strong reads on the opponent. Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 9 players Converter Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero raises to $0.75, 7 folds, BB raises to $2.25, Hero calls. Use a converter and don't show results. You probably have to go broke there.

Whenever villian is willing to put his stack in in this situation, he's almost always either has QQ, KK, AA, or AK. I'm not saying that OP's play is wrong, far from it. If anyone can lay down a set in a pot that was reraised preflop (not insanely deep-stacked), then they're probably playing too tight. There are very few exceptions (an example would be if you had 55, and the board came A-K-5, and villian has a 1% PFR that's ALWAYS either aces or kings). |

A little bit. Raise flop to 12. The rest is variance.
And next time please post the stack sizes. |

I just dont see how you possibly dont go broke here. Even if his range is strictly QQ+ and AK you've gotta get it in, plus the occasional retarded KQ or something thrown in makes you forced to felt. |

I'am surprised by the raise UTG with a baby pocket.
