Bourdain's a great writer and seems like a cool guy, his book is really entertaining, definitely worth reading. I'd respect him a lot more if he ever served anything but French diner food.

He doesn't even cook anymore. He's a full time whatever the hell he is now.

Also, when the place you run is a french diner food place, wtf else are you supposed to serve?

If I were ranking the chefs, I'd go

(1) Cliff
(2) Sam
(3) Marcel
(4) Ilan

Also, that Anthony Bourdain blog post is great. I thought he was dead on when he said Marcel has balls and a ton of potential, but needs to get broken by a great chef he respects.

How about this question :

If you could have a meal cooked by any one of the top chef contestants, which one would it be?

I think Mikey's food would be the tastiest honestly. I remember his comment early on that he wanted to have a sports bar that was known for its food or somethin, seemed like a cool, if not novel, idea.

I would also like to have a lot of Sam's creative like...vegetarian sort of dishes. I tried to make the fruit salad he made with the mint chimichurri(sp?) based on the recipe on the website and it was pretty damn good even with me making it. Based on that I'd like to try some more of those types of dishes.
