Texas Home Games? & Cash games vs Tourneys
I live on the south side of Houston and I know there are regular games going on (gambling is illegal in Texas, but you can have home games if there is no rake). In fact, the guy that beat me in a Moose Lodge tournament (I got second out of a hundred) says he runs several regular games. However, now I can't get hold of him.
Does anybody know of anybody I can contact about getting in a regular game? Also, The Unibomber was talking the other day about the difference in how he plays in Tournaments and in Cash games. I can see the main difference (it's all or nothing) but can anybody expand on the differences? Thanks. KE |

Alternatively, I hear that some people play poker over the internet. [ QUOTE ] Also, The Unibomber was talking the other day about the difference in how he plays in Tournaments and in Cash games. Re: Texas Home Games? & Cash games vs Tourneys
I go to Louisiana every now and then and play at the Isle of Capris, but it'd be nice to play at home and on a more regular basis.
Yeah, Josum, I have Sklansky's book and I read that part the other day. I had been so focussed on tournament poker that I didn't pay enough attention the first time. Thanks. I suck on the Internet but I win in person and do well in tourneys. I don't know why. What is this phone book you speak of? And how can it help me find underground poker games? Is this a "Underground Poker Game Yellow Pages" I haven't heard about? KE |
