Rob and Amber: Against the Odds (Daniel Negreanu reality show)

Just catching up on this show...I have no idea why. I guess I like watching train wrecks. Anyhoo, Rob's first tournament was an Aladdin tourney (apparently w/rebuys). First hand Rob goes broke with AQo (no clubs). He hit top pair on an QXX all club board. He bets and is called by late position. Turned another Q. He bets again and is called by late position. On the river J of clubs hit. He was first to act and moved all in for about 1000 more chips. Hero called with ace of clubs. Reload. Obviously Negreanu passed along his rebuy strategy to Rob. Rob did seem to make it a bit deeper after that. Did he make the final table? I don't think he cashed because they would have probably hyped that the way they hyped it when Rob beat his non-poker playing buddy that came to visit.

EDIT: He came in 3rd. He there were about 45 players in the tourney. Not bad.

I was hoping after the scene where she was working out with the trainer, talking about how he was kinda cute and that she liked the attention, they would disappear into the shower togethter.

Then they could have a sequel called "Rob & Ambuh: Against teh Herp".

Yah, I don't know why he's so torqued over coming in third in his first tourney. That's decent enough. You know, like coming in second on Survivor.

Yeah and wasn't it a morning tourney at the Aladdin with like 45 players? Don't those have like a 40 dollar buyin? If he's getting that steamed over a 3rd-place finish in a 40 dollar donkament I can't imagine him having the mental makeup to be a pro.

Anyway this seems much more like a way to extend their 15 minutes than a serious attempt to go pro.

I couldn't believe his reaction. Imagine that he just missed the money is a big tournament. He'd be on suicide watch, end up in a mental institution, and/or end up in jail.
