Hmmm, does your movie theater sell Coke or Pepsi? Both theaters around here sell Coke (I think every theater I've been to sells Coke) and both of them have showed this commercial a million times.

Also, has anyone seen this commercial on TV before? If so, do you live in like NYC or LA?

Anyone has the link to the beer commercial with a parrot in it? I think it was a corona commercial where the parrot opens the beer. I can't find it anywhere...

The folks at my party voted on the top three:

1. Garmin
2. Emerald Nuts
3. Nothing. Everything else was crap. Hopefully this year was so awful that it causes a seismic shift in what kind of ads they show in the future.

Other observations:

We were wondering how many displaced United Auto Workers were yelling "Jump! JUMP!!!" at the robot.

Budweiser's entire marketing philosophy appeared to be Bud = cute animals, Bud Light = jerks.

The one that got the biggest laugh at my party was the trailer about the black swim team.

Coke and Chevy having to advertise just seems silly to me.

It's like seeing a commercial for that terrific new concoction of elements called H20, or "water".

Or a commercial for this cool new thing called "breathing air", and "blinking".

First time you, I, or the ~10 or so other people I watched the game with had seen it. Nobody referenced it being old, and we all thought they were cool. Thus, they probably got their money's worth by introducing them to a new crowd with no additional production cost.

It's old, but I've never seen it on TV. It's always played at the movie theaters around here.
