Playing Ax out of possition against agressive player.(LimCash)
You have A4 offsuit in BB,the villian raise on the button.
What lines can you take from here, depending on his postflop play. Please comment about different opponents(agression PreFlop and PostFlop is all they share). |

Re: Playing Ax out of possition against agressive player.(LimCash)
You have to take notice to how often a player raises otb . There is no single answer to your question because every opponents raising standards may be different . There have been some players that I've played where I made the correct fold oop with ace small . Then of course , there are some players who raise with any two otb so I may very well put in an additional raise btf.
Think about it this way . The overly aggressive player otb would rather you just call with ace small or fold than re-raising him . Always think along those lines when you make your decision . That is , if both of your cards were faced up , then what would the correct decision be ? |

[/ QUOTE ] Hey jay_shark, fisrt i wanna thank you for the fast replyes on my treads. Maybe I need to make myself more clear. I am not looking for a system how to play in this possition, just wanted to open a discussion about it and everyone to share his experience against different kind of opponents.Questions also can be asked against specific opponents. I am first. If he is extreamly aggresive(raise any 2 cards),I would 3bet him. I he 4bet I will show the hand as cheaply as possible(unless I hit). If he just call I will bet the flop and show the hand from there cheap.I don't like to call turn raises with hand like this, but don't wanna be bluffed too.(any comments on this play) The problem is that in reallity the maniacs are little more tricky. How would you cope with some patterns you see in their play? |

Threebang lots of the time, cont bet flop. Sometimes call and c/r flop. sometimes call and c/c flop. even call and c/f flop. depends on opponent and board texture really.

What kind of Agresive opponents you would 3bet,and when will just call? What will be your plan postflop against different opponents? What boards would you check/fold and when? |

[/ QUOTE ] I can't give you an answer unless you define the parameters of the question. I'd threebet most players most of the time. If the player in question folds too much postflop, I'll threebet all the time. If the player in question is very aggressive preflop but passive post flop, I might call then checkraise more often. If the player in question is aggressive post pre and post flop, I'd tend to threebet more and get to showdown a lot. There are so many permutations. Here is a situation where I'd consider c/fing: very passive player (maybe 85/10/.3) opens in SB, I call with A6. Flop comes KJx. I'd c/f this flop most of the time. You really need to be more specific to get any kind of useful answer. Preferably post entire sections of the HU match along with the hand. Second best is to post detailed reads along with a specific hand. |

Re: Playing Ax out of possition against agressive player.(LimCash)
Its dangerous to /plan/ on taking a hand to showdown preflop - calling down with any ace high all the time is a quick way to go broke.
i generally 3 bet, occasionally fold, occasionally call. depends on the player, stack sizes, how i have been running, how he has been running, etc. |

I don't think I have ever folded A4o preflop in the big blind at heads up limit
