Trop 4/8 limit trip report for Sat Feb 3

So i figured id do a brief trip report for interested minds...took a break from the pink chip game to play 4/8 limit at the trop yesterday (sat).

started playing at 2 pm or so...the game was so juicy it was unbelievable. it was like playing slots for a lot of people where no one ever raised and everyone called to the river to see who won. some players would check call the river with the nuts or play the same way with bottom pair. freakin GOLDMINE.

anyways had a great time downing like 10 drinks over a span of 9 hours or so, flopped some sets and hit a few flushes, cashing out up 350ish. my big PF cards all sucked but thats to be expected in this type of game IMHO. my advice is: play pocket pairs and suited connectors. hit straights, flushes, sets, and two pair with AA KK and QQ. pump the pot. rinse, repeat. by all means do NOT fold any pocket pair! so easy, a caveman can do it.

Thanks for the report. I'm thinking about starting to play that game regularly over the 3/6 at Borgata and this has convinced me to at least do a trial run. Does the trop have any crazy rules/policies that I should know about (Like the 4 of clubs on the turn means everybody has to jump up, run around the table, and sit in a new seat and play the cards sitting there)?
