Default Re: NL50 Two PF AI hands against shorts

No...and no.

1st hand: Don't be pushing all that often with AKs because you're less than 50% to pocket 3s. Why would you want that? Call, re-evaluate flop.

2nd hand: AK will call, maybe AQ...but most likely, theahands that call are ones that beat you. Villain is 30/9...they have a relatively tight range. Call the minraise (which is sketchy to begin with) and try not getting your stack in with the worst hand.

Wow, this is a REALLY nitty post. Hand 1 I can kind of see the argument for calling the reraise, but given the stack sizes pushing is much better. Against a 48/15 this is AQ or worse very often, and we can't really call to re-eval the flop when villain has a half-pot bet left behind, or we'll get pushed off the best hand way too much.

Hand 2, flat calling the minraise sucks balls against a villain this short. We're never ever folding with these stack sizes on a low board, so we're losing the max to KK/AA every time. However, when the board comes low and he has AK/AQ, he gets away, and loses the min. Get him AIPF here while you have the edge.
