Default 60-120 Hand at Commerce

Tough 2+2er raises first in from MP. Loosie-goosie cold calls and I call from the big blind with 9-9.

The three of us see a flop of J-9-8 with two hearts. I bet, 2+2er calls, loosie-goosie raises, I 3-bet, 2+2er calls, loosie-goosie calls.

Turn is a blank. I bet, 2+2er raises, loosie-goosie 3-bets.

Now what?

I dont like folding your hand here simply because JJ is highly unlikely and you are still drawing to a full house giving you odds to call against a straight. More likely tho your still ahead. I cold call here and check/call river.

I think you're only possibly ahead of the 2+2er and even that's not a given.

I'd call and be tempted to call a single river bet simply based on pot size (assuming the turn doesn't go to four bets).

i would call here. if 2p2er 4-bets, call again and fold the river if when you check it is two bets back to you but make the crying call if it is one and one.

This is a read play Andy. Does tough 2+2er have the jacks or not? I definitely cannot say but if there was a time to fold a set, this has to be close to it. The tough part is if they both have a straight

I think this is an easy call because it wouldn't make too much sense for tough player to slow down on that flop.

I would call the turn and if its capped by 2+2, I would call that too. If you dont fill up on river, I'd still call one big bet. If 2+2 bets on river and the loose guy raises, I'd probably fold on river.

I agree. Most likely tough player has over pair and was waiting for safe turn to pop it. Anything better I think he would have capped. Bad player lookes like the nuts.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks you're in really bad shape. I really think you should muck. You mentioned MP is a tough player; therefore, I can't see him thinking his overpair is good against two players when there was considerable action on flop and now turn. It seems like MP waited for the turn to come alive with his JJJ. Either way, its a very tough decision. What did you end up doing?

I dunno if I agree. When I 3-bet the flop, 2+2er can expect me to fire again on most turns, and he could then raise and make it expensive for the 3rd guy to draw. Is he be more likely to slow down with a big hand rather than an overpair. Plus what would 2+2er be putting me on?

I do agree that after the turn 3-bet, it sure looks like 3rd buy has the nuts. Or J-J (he might just cold-call, rather than 3-bet preflop with that).
