Re: Poker.com?? Whats the story...
i met a guy, playig live, at the Aussie Millions, who had a business card saying he was the Director of Gaming at Poker.com.
He told me that they were based in Brisbane, Australia. I imagine that if you have a dispute with them they'd be a lot more accessible than Isle of Man/Bermuda/Gibraltar/other little country. |

Re: Poker.com?? Whats the story...
My interpretatation of all this is that they are doing this for advertisement reasons. The .com attached to any logo can not be displayed in any televised tournaments and this is an effort to get around that.
Ive played at poker.com for the last 7 months and can say that I believe they have the absolute best software. Also they have shown a complete committment to US players and I do not expect them to be leaving the US market anytime soon. There are not a lot of high limit games which is consistent with most smaller and newer sights but there is plenty of low to mid stakes action especially nl. Also they offer a lot of freerolls if youre into those. They added a new deposit/withdrawal option this week called ecocard.com.....anybody heard of it??? Im in the process of testing this out....we'll see what happens. I dont mean for this to sound like spam for poker.com but I have been pleasantly surprised by playing there. I dont know if the "carbon copy" is the same as it does not affect me but I assume it is and if so IMHO you can not go wrong by playing at this sight. |

Re: Poker.com?? Whats the story...
I used to play at Poker.com a some months ago. In my experience, they were a classy site with decent customer service.
Sounds reasonable if they have to change the name of their poker site. But affiliating with dubious sites like Pacific seems dumb and fishy. |

Re: Poker.com?? Whats the story...
I used to play a lot at poker.com and their customer service is the best out of any site not named PokerStars.

Re: Poker.com?? Whats the story...
I played for a number of months at poker.com and found the software to be excellent. I especially liked the full screen mode. There was plenty of action at the low stakes, but when I was ready to move up to $.50/$1 limit, I had to look elsewhere.

[/ QUOTE ] I understand that my earlier post on this topic is incorrect. I understand that the poker.com "software development company” is based in Brisbane. I am told that the services is in fact licensed and hosted in Kahnawake, Canada and have operational departments (marketing / support) outside Australia. |
