Out of curiousity is there a trick to figuring out the math for the proper raise quickly here?

[/ QUOTE ]

multiply villains bet by 3, add what already is in the pot = pot sized raise.

In your hand: 1*3 + 1.5 = 4.5

you should have raised his turn bet hard
4$ into a 7$ pot really looks like a block bet. Remember, you raised the flop. So he knows you have a hand. He could easily bet more with a strong made hand.
If he reraised that ... well bottom two is no good.

And that raise give you a better position at the river. If he was on a flushdraw and made it he is very likely to go for a checkraise.
If no flush comes I'd bet for value then (~ 1/2 pot)

as played ... make a crying call
