Default Difficult spot in a live medium stakes mtt.

Hi all!

I went to my local card club to play mtt today and was faced with a very tough decicion. Want some feedback on my line.

Specs of tournament: It is an underground club with low staks mtt's and low stakes cash games. Today however they had a tourney which was somewhat more expensive, roughly 250$. It was a deepstack setup where we started with 20k in chips as opposed too the standard 10k we start with there. The blind lvl was 30 min and we started at soft 25-50. Around 40 entrants. First to fifth pay money with around 3,2 k $ to the winner and 350 to the fifth place finisher.

On to the hand:

Blinds was 400-800 with no ante
The avrg. chip stack was 27k
I had around 22k
We are now playing 9 handed as one table has just merged with ours.
Utg + utg1 folds
Utg2 raises to 2500
Mp1 calls 2500
Folds to me in the CO where I look down at JJ

I look over at the blinds and button and the dont seem very interrested.

However the original raiser is a tight/aggro solid player whom I have mutual respect with. His range here is AA - 88, AK-AJ as he is on a bit of a shortstack with around 17k.

The mp+1 caller is also a good player I think but I've only seen him play for around 2 hours total.

So guys, I guess you can see my problem. Do I go all in here, call or make a smaller raise?

If I call I will have a hard time on so many flops.

If I make a small raise he will probably wanna go for a flip with AK-AQs type of hands, considering the pot odds and most certainly move in if he has me beat. When/if he moves in I have to call right? Pot odds etc.

If I move in he will call med with AK-AQ I would imagine and pairs from AA-99 as he most likely wants to double up soon.

Sorry if the post is long and a bit disorganized but im not used to posting hands here. Any feedback is welcome.

Push >>> Call >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;> Reraise to 7500 > Fold

With the dead money you pretty much have to push this preflop.

Reraise to 7500 and fold are obviously terrible ideas
