4/180 Pre-Flop MinReRaise Steal
Okay, three things.
1. I would only try this against a villain I felt was decent enough to put me on a hand. 2. My cards don't really matter here, but...Although I am in no way in love with A10s, it is entirely possible that I have the best hand here. Not likely but possible. 3. Okay, so it seems to work perfectly here. Should I try this again? What factors am I looking for? I think the size of the flop bet is important (Should be less than a "normal" c-bet.) Re: 4/180 Pre-Flop MinReRaise Steal
I like this play, but I would only use it a couple times per table before players notice how light you are. I would prefer a larger c-bet, like 50-60% of the pot.

Re: 4/180 Pre-Flop MinReRaise Steal
I don't actually think I'd try it even that often. Maybe like once or twice per tournament. I think the smaller c-bet reps my hand as a monster better, and allows me to get away cheaper as well. One of the interesting things about this particular hand, is that I believe I am generating fold equity against hands that dominate me, like AJ+. And also against middle pairs like 88-JJ, maybe? All of these hands are likely to be in utg+1's range. If villain calls or raises on flop, I am done with around 6000 behind. If I hit my A on the flop, I am still c-betting, but not going any further. |

Re: 4/180 Pre-Flop MinReRaise Steal
I likes it, but pretty risky with stack sizes where they are, need to a have a pretty good read. high risk high reward - nice move
Would like it better if you had 7 4 off. |
