My thoughts on the future of "non-US" sites

I personally feel that after all of this BS and dust settles, and I'm talking possibly a year + here, that some of these sites will come back to the United States market. There is theoretically nothing stopping them right now. No legislation is saying, "PartyPoker, you have to get out of the U.S. and stay out." This was just a strategic decision that they thought would benefit them the most. With the possible change of legislation, or any new factors involved with online gambling in the U.S. they would come crawling back.

When they realize that there is still a multi-billion dollar online poker market here in the U.S. just waiting to play, they will be back. There will eventually be tons of work-arounds and other ways to get cash onto sites, regardless of legislation.

I think that at some point in the future (depends on new legislation and outcomes in Congress), that the sites that pulled out of the United States will be back. Mark my words. Billions of dollars don't just disappear, and don't go unclaimed. Someone will capitalize on this.

the regulatory environment would have to change dramatically. in a regulated enviroment they might not even be allowed back because of their former sportsbook ties. as of now i really doubt they are regretted their decision that much.

I imagine Party Poker cut out alot of expenses when they left the US market. Their player numbers are up. They're gonna be just fine with our without US players. They may be back to the US market, but IMO it won't be for a very long time (years). They're certainly not starving in the meantime.

Yeah, I agree that they are not starving and things would have to dramatically to get them back. But I have a feeling they may. Only time will tell.

I'm assuming that's a reference, sorry I don't get it. I'm guessing it was an attempt at an insult though. Just giving my line of thought and how I think the future will shape up is all.
