Default top two laydown??

i never play these days so im not too sure if flush beats straight, etc. 4tabling 2/4 stars last night on my laptop (while camping out for the ucla - oregan bball game later today), so i have no PT, no hand history... but i have a decent idea who is fishy, who is reg. villain in hand just sat down though, complete unknown.

UTG limps, Hero with A7s in UTG+1 calls (bunch of random loose, awkward stacks behind me), CO calls, SB completes, BB (villlain) checks.

Flop A72 two diamonds.
BB checks, UTG bets $12, I make it 77 to put that bitch allin, BB pushes, UTG folds, I?

I call. Set of 2's is a possibility, but so is A2, 72, flush draw, or some random BS hand that thinks youre full of it.

I have a feeling you got busted by 222.

i raise this 99% of the time pre. interesting that everyone thinks this is an easy call, i actually folded.

1. he was an unknwon to me but this was his first hand and he bought in full. what's his range? 22, 77, A7, MAYBE A2, MAYBE flush draws but possibily not? he's definitely not bluffing with shorty in the pot and zero commitment. thats my argument for folding. unless the games ahve changed, ps 2/4 is a nitfest especially in limped pots

if thats his range, then fair enough, call. this is probably a stupid post... just depends on what kind of range you put on an unknown who buys in full (likely not a huge fish). sometimes 72, A2 will just call from the blinds? thats was my thinking. open pushing in a limped pot with zero commitment doesnt seem like a flush draw enough imo
