Default I\'m a newb at Omaha...am I doing anything right?

First of all hey. A bit of background about me: I've been playing online for about a year and a half, not as much as I would have liked because of school. I've played about half NL and half LHE as well as MTTs and SNGs thrown in the mix.
I've gotten into Omaha about 6 days ago, since then I've played almost 8k hands. I'm breakeven, having won about 540$ at 0.25/0.5 in 6k hands, lost 500$ in 1200 hands at .5/1 and broke even over the rest of the hands at 0.10/0.25
Obviously I've got a lot to work on, and this is all very new for me, so I've taken a few of the big pots I have played and I would really appreciate any feedback or criticism or pats on the back(yeah right) anyone can give me. Some of the hands may seem wild preflop or wild on the flop (the huge call with just 2 pair is a good candidate), those were from my first hands where I was kind of an idiot...maybe I still am. Anyway, here are the hands, there are 9 of them and I hope they convert properly.

It's often easier to reply to these sorts of posts if you post them as individual topics, removing the 'less interesting/borderline' ones. Also, need stack sizes or most advice will be mediocre at best. Assuming full stacks to start the hand...

Hand 1 - King is awful card for you, redraw could be covered, but you are clearly drawing to boat or flush. I'd cut losses, fold.

Hand 2 - Looks good, unlucky.

Hand 3 - Bottom two is no good, fold. Less likely he is just pushing AA as you have one.

Hand 4 - Turn raise bad. Call for gutshot + NFD.

Hand 5 - Looks good, nice hit.

Hand 6 - Dangerous. Your wrap is not as strong as it appears and your flush could be covered. Opponent dependent, I call or fold.

Hand 7 - Looks Good.

Hand 8 - Don't play your non-top two pair so hard. When you do, you get forced to call in situations like this and often shown AQ. Once turn comes, you are kinda stuck.

Hand 9 - Reconvert.

FYI, try to post not so many hands at once. It's just way to hard to respond to them all.

Many hands, as former replies already mentioned. Over all it looks good I guess, but it's hard to comment without stack deep, reads and your actual idea about your actions. Was it meant as a bluff, did you believe you had implied odds etc, etc.
I'm not sure about your turn bet on hand 4:
Turn: 4 ($17.4, 2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $13, Hero raises to $55.55, Button calls
Without any certain reads from you or further explanation of your thinking I'd say it's incorrect to raise here.
Hand 6 I wouldn't have played at all, would have saved you a lot of trouble if you have folded preflop.
The later hand (can't recall the number) where the turn came AxAQ it seems your beaten by AQ--, I would have folded unless you have a strong read villain is either a habitual postflop bluffer or a moron.

most of the hands are good but not necessarily standard, i.e. against the right player they are well played. Having no reads doesn't really help but I think you are playing nice and aggressive, and Slonye's advice in this thread is on the weak tight side. Hand 8 you should push or fold turn, unless you are going to fold river.

Hand 1 - Without doing the real math, it looks fine. Flush, FH, and gutshot to chop outs plus odds you're getting I'd play the same.

Hand 2 - Standard.

Hand 3 - Kinda annoying. On one hand, I want to shove the flop to get folds. Your hand is pretty vulnerable and with little room for improvement. I'd be fine with taking it HU against the AA guy. But, the pfrr calls then the CO and button are getting good odds and aren't folding anything reasonable. After the button calls, I'd consider folding, but, if you've got the gamble in you just put the rest in on the flop.

Hand 4 - fine

Hand 5 - After a bet and 2 calls on the flop, I'd be prety concerned with someone having the nut flush and a lot of sharing/blocking outs. I'd just call and see the turn.

Hand 6 - Fine.

Hand 7 - Fine. Player reads, game flow, and stack sizes might make other lines more profitable here.

Hand 8 - Annoying hand. Read on SB helps here. Allin or turn or fold to big river bet is good like RT said.

Hand 9 - Stack sizes and read on the pfr are kind of important here. After the pfr raises the flop I'd probably just reraise allin.

I agree with the most of the commments you've received. Regarding Hand 6, while not a great hand to play, it does have "Take off" potential, where if you hit it - like you did - you can crack a big hand, although I'd completely discount your flush possibilities. I play on Bodog which is Flush city, and I can count on the fingers of 1 hand the times I've seen a hand with the 5 or 6 of a suit when.

Other than that, I think your play is pretty sound. It looks like you get a lot of good hands. Just be careful pushing hard with 2-pair. When someone pushes back, they almost always have either trips or a straight draw with 15+ outs. In the games I play, when a hand is shown down and 2-pair wins it, the pots are normally not too large without much action, since usually someone will make at least a set in Omaha.

Personally, I like to play a tight game. If I raise, I normally just raise 1 big blind. I rarely raise with Aces, as it gives away your hand, unless I limp in early and a late position raises, then I'll push to get it heads up. Actually, just did that tonight. Had AA67 doublesuited, limped UTG. About 5 limpers and BB bet pot. I came over top and got it heads up. Flop was A-K-x. He had KK and pushed all in and I took down the pot. I guess I'm just paranoid because of bad luck I have sometimes.

If you do bet the pot preflop alot, be sure you do it with most of your straight draws and large pocket pairs, not just Aces. And you have to learn to lay down hands. If you miss the flop with AA after raising early, and you bet 1/2 or full pot on flop and get called, then someone has made 2pr or a set and you're beat. They're just going to let you bet off all your chips. I had one session not too long ago where I got pocket AA 1-dozen times and I did not flop an Ace one single time. If I had bet the pot each time, I'd be broke.

Not that my results are that great, but I've turned $50 into almost $2500 the last 3 months playing 90% Omaha on Bodog, on the $25, $50, and $100 PLO tables. I play tight and push hard when I hit, and back off when I don't. I bet top set hard, but if I get callers with straight or flush draws on board, and the Turn brings a card that would complete the straight or flush, then I'm done with the hande. I'm sure I get bluffed out a lot in those situations and I could have won a lot more being more aggressive, but I don't want to lose what I've won. And you would not believe how many pots I've lost on the river to some donkey calling pot-sized bets with just the nut-flush draw.

With the amount of hands you've played, you should have developed a sense by now of what your opponents have by how they bet based on the board. Don't chase 8 and 9 outers on pot-size bets. Don't chase too many King-high flush draws. Most of the time someone will have the Ace. Or if the Ace is out, and you have Queen, and your flush is made, if someone bets the pot, they most likely have the King (At least on Bodog they do).

Anyway, sorry for such a long post. I could write for hours about my Omaha game. Please keep in mind I just play on Bodog. Good luck.
