I just woke up, and this is a picture from my 10th story balcony. That's about 18 inches on the window, and it goes about 18 inches deeper below that when you step down.

Anyone else old enough to remember the Blizzard of `78? I was 5 years old at the time, and we lost power (in Sudbury, MA) for something like four days. My two most vivid memories of that storm are roasting hot dogs in the fireplace, and not being allowed to go outside because the snow was over my head.

[/ QUOTE ] My friends came over and I couldn't get out the front door. I had to jump out the second floor window into a snowbank. Also, I remember dragging my sled to the grocery store to go shopping. All the roads were closed to traffic and everyone was walking to the stores with their sleds. Awesome blizzard. |
