Default Call or fold tptk $10 180

Playing mid stages of $10 180, been on a rush recntly then pick up AK on button. The check raise all in looks very strong and it is for all my ships. Should I be folding here?

expect to see Axc here alot. And even a lot of Ax. the fact that u have been on a rush might also impact the tables view on you. have u been showing lots of hands or just picking up good pots without showdown?

I would at least raise to 800 pf.

Raise to 700 pf. Call the push because of your image could easily have AJ or on a weak draw.

I fold here, this is one of the worst boards for tp/tk besides 8s7s6s type of board. Its a SA/WB situation where more liklly to be WB and you are really deep and the odds suck.

As an aside, for those reasons I check this flop like 75% of the time.

Could you be behind here? Yes (AT,KJ). But the facts that villian didn't raise pre-flop ruling out TT, QQ, or AQ and that this could very well be a flush draw push makes this a call.

Villian could also be doing this with A,J given your possible image.

I think I should have folded as I would still be in a decent chip situation. He had KJ and it held. The only thing I beat was the Ax clubs and even then he could hit the flush. The loose image came from taking this pot down a few before.

shaundeeb,

If your in villian's shoes how do you play a flush draw here? Could this also be a line for him to take?

depends on what FD in my eyes each FD should be played differenly. AcXc should be played differently than AcJc as well as Kc9c and 2 clubs under 10.

Calling the checkraise is read-dependent, but I think the raise is too big to call against a typical opponent. I'd fold AK to a smaller raise than that.

However, I think you were right to bet the flop. There are so many cards you don't want to see (any K, Q, J, T, or club) that you need to protect your hand with a bet.
