[/ QUOTE ] I think I remember learning in economics that most(probably all) banks will allow you to exchange ripped currency for new bills. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing already takes old and worn bills out of circulation and reissues brand new currency to the federal reserve which pushes it out to the banks.
