Brag : Sociology prof is a balla
Today in class we were talking about macro and micro paradigms, and my teacher asks a kid to give him 20 bucks. He then breaks it down and says that essentially, the 20 and a piece of scratch paper are the same, and it is society that makes the 20 more valuable than the scratch paper. If he tears the paper, no one cares, so he rips it in half. Then he says what if I ripped that kids 20 bucks in half, what would you think? he then rips this kids 20 in half. Whole class is shocked.
Brag : Sociology prof rips some random kids 20 in half Beat : He gave him a new one out of his wallet. Variance : 20 bucks ain't [censored] to a balla. |

Re: Brag : Sociology prof is a balla
that $20 bill is backed in gold that gives it value. the blank piece of paper is backed by nothing.
it's like the difference between a gift card that has $0 on it and one that has $20 on it. society has nothing to do with it. |

Re: Brag : Sociology prof is a balla
You are wrong nng2000, american money is not actually backed in 'gold' or any other valuable resource. It's just a form of currency that we have become accustomed to. You don't honestly think for every dollar we have circulating around the U.S. we have an equal amount of 'gold' for it do you....
