Default Button/BB battle

Villian is 35/20/2.5 300ish sample, ATSB ~43%. I've seen him give up a few times after steals but also make some pretty interesting Ace-hi call down. I've been 3-betting him pretty lightly and he probably views me as LAG.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
2 folds, Button raises, 1 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button calls.

I was planning to lead most turns besides an Ace, good?
edit: by interesting Ace-hi calls downs I don't mean bad ones.

River: (6.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets?

Comments on all streets welcome.

Hero has those stats? Are you the hero? Or is this from the other guys' perspective?

if that is the case... I think you overplayed the flop bigtime. I'd probably drop this there, you have a hand with little to no showdown value.

you turn well, and I like the bet

river i think it's close between checking and betting. betting seems kind of wrong because he's probably only folding better hands after having you play the flop/turn super agressive.

I like this play after the flop a lot. Not 100% sure about the river, but I like the flop and turn.

If we expect to push an A off on the turn then why are we betting the river? I think it is slightly inconsistent and I am not sure if it's a good value bet as I don't think there is a chance he will fold a better hand.

If we think he has a flush draw then c/c is better?

I wouldn't call here preflop.

I like preflop and flop.
I`d bet the turn every time (even when an ace hits) - this may be wrong.
River is probably very close. I don`t see him betting hands we beat as well as I don`t think he calls with worse hands. I don`t think there`s a big difference between c/c, b/f and c/f.

I fold preflop; I suspect our equity isn't great versus even against the top 43%, but I don't have pokerstove handy right now. Could someone post an equity estimate here?

I think the flop is close between check-call and check-fold, given the read that he likes calldowns. IMO a c/r in a small pot against a calldown artist is wasting money.

Given our flop c/r, we probably need to lead the best nonimproving card in the deck for us.

Can we fold to a river raise against this guy? Will he bluff an a-high if checked to? These are important considerations for the river play.

Either bet/fold or check/call. Probably bet fold though.
