Re: 10 left in the 8 rebuy 88 on the button
In all honesty i dont want to call in this spot. But since i raise for hand value as opposed to a bluff i think i have to call a push from the most aggressive player on the table. otherwise this is basically i bluff which was not my intent.

[ QUOTE ] So i have to call, otherwise why bother raising the button? [/ QUOTE ] with your stack and only a 2,5xBB raise invested you can easily fold! I don't like flipping my tournament with 88. pushing with 88 is one thing...but calling a push?? [/ QUOTE ] Good. But how do you open push for 20+bb? Because you dont want to fold 88 to a resteal? Calling a push here is terrible imo. 2.5x and fold to resteal pls tks. Anyone who has the slightest experience playing sngs knows you cant push 20+bb. Especially with 88 |

Re: 10 left in the 8 rebuy 88 on the button
In a sit and go, I'm usually calling this play from an aggressive opponent. particularly if he's reraised button from BB before.
In a large MTT, final 5 people left, I would maybe fold this if I had only raised 2.5BB like you did. Depends on the payouts, and whether I think I'm more skilled than my opponents and can win it without rushing. Probably a coinflip or you're a 2:1 favorite. Chances of being behind by 4:1 I think are about equal to being ahead 4:1. against something like 6-7 suited... So if it's a skilled opponent, like you said, I'm calling this 90% of the time |
