At .10/.25? Whew.

My initial reaction is that he almost certainly has a K or Q, probably the Qs. AT, AJ fit, as does KQ and QJ. JT works. Maybe he limped in with AA? In any case it's two broadway cards.

It's hard to say at that limit without any read given. I'd expect him to have a good speculative hand at least.

I like the way you played it. I think he has two pair or a flush that he was trying to be tricky (stupidly) with.

16 handed, WOW thats pretty neat, where is this?

Spades are unlikely, he could be limping with a big PP (AA-QQ) which of course all beat you or he could have AK/AQ or if he's bad KQ. Any reads?

Your lines pretty good, if you feel adventurous you might bet the turn and rep spades but checking behind is more often the way to go here. Seeing as you ask what do we put villain on, I'll go for something dumb like Q9 or JTs

Are you taking a C/F line on the turn? If I think my hand has any showdown value at all I tend to make blocking bets in these spots to try and keep the pot small. Checking tends to induce large bets, whether he has you beat or not.

I'm not sure what I would do here, as your two pair is looking pretty weak, but if I was planning on calling a bet I'd probably make a small one myself.

OK, I don't think villain has two pair except maybe Q9 or A9 Amazing to me that with a paired board and a flush on board, he would go over your river bet with something less than a flush or fh.

i like it, the fact that you have nines full instead of kings full makes me think that villian doesnt often have the better boat with us(given the preflop action) a9 is the only thing i might be scared of but i doubt you see it that often given the flop action. and im saying ship it hollaaaaaaaaa when he showes q9.

OK, thanks for all the responses.

I also thought I played this one quite alright. I didn't expect him to beat me, and I'm relieved to know that you don't expect him to beat me as well given the action.

He had AA btw; completely blindsided me.

P.S. Should have probably block-bet turn; I was taking a check/fold line as I really put him on a flush.

[/ QUOTE ]Ouch!

Knowing that makes a lot of sense. I think villain played his hand well, except for the debatable UTG limp. Limping AA UTG is a fairly well known play, but it seems to me most micro limit NL HE games aren't agressive enough to make limping AA UTG something I'd want to do.

Still, it's not unreasonable and he played the hand well post flop.

You certainly can't be faulted for the way you played your hand.
