I was out in 20 minutes in event 1. I didn't play the 5 PM tourney. PartySNGer, who are you? I am Mark.

I'm playing event #2 tomorrow and I agree that it would be cool to have a 2+2 get together for beer or something. Or maybe a big bash if one of us wins a tourney. Haha.

I'm up for a meeting. Anyone want to grab an early dinner before playing Friday night?

My name is Greg.

Event #2 may have been the most miserable experience of my life. I increase my stack from 2k to 5k by break 1, then first hand after the break I limp AA UTG (my tbl was pretty aggro and raising pots huge PF), the BB pushes for 900, I call he tables 65o, flop is 874. 30 minutes later, I raise w/JTo, BB calls, flop is T high, he pushes for 800, I call he tables T9, turn is a 9. Blinds move up to 100/200, I lose 800 on a 3 way all in AQ v. 99 v. A6. Shortly thereafter I'm in the BB with 8s7s, EP raises to 600, one caller, I call. Flop is 8d4s2s, so I'm hoping to check-raise all in. Of course it's checked thru, turn is a red king, checked thru, river is a red rag, I bet 800 and the cold caller PF has KJo.

In my last hand, I have 97o in the BB, 3 guys limp, SB completes, I check, flop is A86 rainbow, one guy bets 400, one caller, I decide to check-raise to 1500 leaving about 1400 behind. First guy folds, second guys pushes thinking his hand was 66, but when he flips it over he actually has 65o and is extremely upset. I was still in great shape, but didn't hit, and I was out.

Party,

Man that is one list of brutal beats.....Are you playing in the others and have you played any other games?

I was thinking trying to get together Thursday for a beer or two and then maybe play some games. I want to start out okay for Friday's event.

You guys don't think it will be hard to register for Friday's event on Friday do you? If so is there anyway to pre-register?

Greg,

It was nice playing with you today. My name is Nick, I was the guy wearing the blue sweater with a collared shirt. That was a totally brutal hand.

The sad/funny part of your story is, that I had some history with that guy who pushed with the 56. I'm pretty sure he didnt think he had 66, but that's a whole different story. He was there on a freeroll because he had won a bar poker league in Denver. Two thirds of the way through level one, he JUST CALLED with the absolute nuts. He's really amatuer, but atleast he's havin fun.

When I busted out (About 50th), the guy who busted Greg was still in it.

I should be back to play on Thursday.

See ya'll then.

Nick

I finished 13th in event #2 for just over $1300. If anyone wants to get a drink or dinner, PM me for my cell.

Yah, it was just a bizarre series of events b/c when he flipped his hand he seemed genuinely surprised that it wasn't 66, then when he realized his hand, he was thinking I was ahead, and when the turn and river came, he was about to leave thinking he lost the hand.

Nice work Mark.

How many entered event #2?

I will be playing the events on Friday and Saturday and was also looking at playing some qualifers for the main event Wednesday and Thursday. Did you see any of those running yesterday? Someone said that there wasn't even enough interest in the $170 SNGs on Monday, any better luck Tuesday?

Tim

550 or so were in event 1. 271 were in event 2. they were running a bunch of satellites last night at various amounts. I don't remember them calling 170s. More like 45s and 105s I think. I wasn't really paying attention though since I was still in.
