Default Vanguard Saga of Heroes

new MMO out in stores today. Well-hyped. Anyone playing? I kinda wanna go buy it. But then again, I don't want to waste my life playing MMO's again, or worse, have it cut into primetime poker play. holla

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is a high fantasy-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in development by Sigil Games Online. The game is set to be co-published by Sony Online Entertainment(SOE), and the company producing it, Sigil Games Online. The game has a set release date for North America and Europe of January 30, 2007[1], with an early access date of January 26, 2007 for pre-order customers.

Vanguard offers three primary areas of play: Adventuring, Crafting and Diplomacy. Each of these 'spheres' can be played independently of each other, although there are many points of potential interaction where it will be greatly to a player's advantage to be grounded in more than one of the spheres.

There are no restrictions to any combinations between spheres, making each character unique.

Default Re: Vanguard Saga of Heroes

I hate to say it but I've been playing since Sat. I really enjoy the game, but like most every mmorpg, this one wasn't ready for retail...still a lot of bugs, things that don't work. With that said, I will say the game has made some dramatic improvements in 1 month. I was in beta3 but had some issues with my comp. When I played Sat, the game was like a different game...much, much better than it was.

My biggest complaint has to be the system requirements, as you need a pretty decent machine to push the game well. I have a 2 year old gaming lappy, and I have basically everything turned off, or at the lowest settings, and I'm still getting horrible fps. if I stick out the game, I will have to buy a new gaming rig at some point.
