Default anyone ever had a \"Pre Authorized\" notice?

when using a credit card it said "pre authorized" and the poker site needed me to call them. Has this happened to anyone before? Why do they do this? Thx in advance

your a dick cardcounter.... let me explain, i tried to make a deposit at a large poker site with my visa, i then got a message saying "pre authorized" please call customer support. Surely this has happened to someone else. Maybe Microbob can help me. thx

This is AP right? Don't worry, everyone gets this the first few times they deposit with credit cards, just call and they will put it through.

Hmmm.... now that makes a little bit more sense. It sounds like the poker site wants to "pre-authorize" the charges on your card. I think they want you to call customer support, probably to verify who you are and that your card is not stolen. Maybe they heard you like to call people dicks, I don't know. I don't think Microbob can help, I think customer service at the site will help when you call and get your charge pre-authorized before they send it thru.

It happened to me on UB the first time I used a credit card to deposit. All was well after I spoke to them on the phone. I don't know if this was because I had one transaction declined and was then forwarded to their "alternate processor" to resubmit, or not. I wasn't asked to fax or scan anything, just confirm the information on file.


Anyway, it was a one-time thing, and I later made a 2nd deposit with the same card with one click and no phone call.
