My best hand ever -- 96s
Not sure if this was decent play or totally retarded. Feel free to pick on me mercilessly.

Re: My best hand ever -- 96s
The board has to play a lot more often than 1 in 8, but I think you played it okay.

[ QUOTE ]
96s is an almost okay limping hand when multiway at relatively passive table. [/ QUOTE ] Gotta love those suited mid-two-gappers. (taps sarc-o-meter) Is this thing on? Menace, are you pulling our leg with this, or has your VPIP shot up to the mid-40s? I mean, once you're IN the hand, you play it fine. Of course, the board has to play once in 4, not 8, since you're 2-handed at the end. |

Re: My best hand ever -- 96s
Preflop is close here. 65s is an automatic limp, as is 97s. 96s is a two gapper, and this may push it toward a fold. Who knows? What I do know is that your VPIP can be very typical even if you limp hands like this.

Re: My best hand ever -- 96s
i like the flop raise. at first i thought calling was just as good, but now i think the raise is best.

Re: My best hand ever -- 96s
i do not think twice about limping here when the table is passive. 5:1 + the button + passive opponents + play well postflop = $$.
