Is there any situation where my play here would be incorrect? Is it even possible to lay down KK in this situation?

Edit: I just sat down at this table, so I have no real reads on these players.

Unless it's a sat no, never fold these PF, if he's got one of the other 1200+ hands, your in great shape.

All this and more covered Here

Understandable, I suppose I know better; that there is no getting away from it... Im just frustrated in losing like that.

I suppose I can feel better though; I played perfect that tourny, and was doing really well. Hopefully that play will yield better results when I don't run into that bad situation.

In the hand you posted, no. MCSCLA will show up w/ QQ/AK/other stuff often enough to justify a call.

Think of it this way, if MCSCLA's range is QQ+, then you should instacall w/ your hand being in the middle of his range and because there is dead money in the pot already.

some quick math shows that given you are getting 1.86:1 on your call, he would have to have AA ~75% of the time here or better for a fold to be correct.

I think that laydown can be made live vs a known opponent, but I don't think I've ever had that strong a read on an online player.

Lol yeah, as sad as it is, the ace always comes on stars.

Early in the tourny I had 10s with like 4000 chips with blinds at 50/100, guy with 1500 pushed AK after I raised on the SB (He was BB) and not only did the ace come, the king came as well.

Not as sure about Stars, but on FT, Beachman + KK = no good for the past 3 MTTs. Only once did I see AA, so I'll keep pushing pf against AK & 99 until my damn flopper is fixed!

You cannot fold KK on-line pf like ever. Just pull your aluminum foil hat on tighter . . .
