Default $50 - Q,Q on J high flop vs. 2 players

I am looking for feedback on 2 things:

1. My flop bet (since Villain checked and there was another player behind).
2. What to do after getting check-raised.

Background on Villain: I previously noticed he had raised light once or twice earlier in the session. On one of those occasions I played back at him from the blinds and we saw a flop that I won without a showdown. Since I was raising a bit more than others at the table and I played back at him earlier, I think he likely viewed me as an aggressive type.

I didn't have a read on the player to act behind me on the flop.

I'd fold as JJ is very likely here. The only hand that villain may do this with is AJ but I think it's highly unlikely.

JJ can't be the only hand he does this with, since he would slowplay it some [possibly significant] percentage of the time. AA/KK could be included in his range (though discounted due to the presence of a third player in the pot preflop). He may have A2s as well. His line does seem kind of suspect though.

I'm usually getting felted here.

pf is good, flop is decent but kinda weak, I like 10-12 more.

Pre-pre-flop is bad, please reload.

I really like calling and revaluate the turn.

If he has less than QQ (Which can be very likely) he will shut up on the turn.

tough spot since calling the raise nearly commits hero into pot. ive seen people do this with pocket pairs less than J and Jx. if he's aggro plays TP to the felt, i'd be inclined to felt it right then and there. if he's tricky i'd probably call and evaluate turn. if he's passive however, i'd fold this.

I also discounted AA and KK somewhat because Villain didn't 4 bet when it came back around to him after I re-raised him. If I was in his spot w/ AA or KK PF, I would want to 4 bet to get heads up either with me (get heads up w/ myself...haha) or the guy on the button who cold-called my bet of $4.50. So I was frozen for a bit when he check-raised me.

I felt like I had to fold or shove, as calling wouldn't leave me much behind and he'd probably put me all in on the turn of I called anyway.
