I have had bank tellers look dumbfounded when I ask for more than a couple grand. Their heads would probably explode if you actually asked for $175,000 in cash.

fwiw, I told the bank lady, who was very nice, that I would be comming back in a week to get out 60k...and she laughed...I dont know why this is funny...I took out 30k a month ago. Anyways, once she figured out I was serious, she told me to call a week in advance...so I went ahead and told her what day to get the money in...so it shouldnt be a problem.
