I want to start threads too / suggestions thread

I want to start threads too!

I don't have any particular ideas right now, but based on my track history of starting maybe one thread a month and having that thread not suck (children of men, introduce an artist/photographer to OOT) I think I'm qualified.

I'm excited about what this forum can be enough so that I was happy to help moderate it full time. I'll probably spend the majority of my time picking out undesirables for exile.

I see this as forum as a OOT compliment.

Now some people may have a problem with this forum and how it's run in the future. Things may seem elitist or unfair. The important thing to remember is that unless you are on the list it really doesn't matter what you think. This forum will be run and decisions made which maximize the enjoyment of El Diablo and Friends.

Building on [censored]'s comment, I'd say that the best way to enjoy this forum is to either say:

a) This is awesome, if I'm not on the list I should get on it. And the way to do that is by suggesting good threads, having a posting history we're familiar with, or participating well in existing threads here.

b) This is stupid BS w/ arbitrary rules that are ridiculous and El D is an a-hole. That's a perfectly valid opinion, and you are welcome to it. But if that's what you think, just ignore this place and post in the tons of other forums here.

I'm not a prolific thread starter, but a quick search showed 5 OOT threads of mine from the last year. Two of them are crappy "hey OOT make a decision for me" type threads, but i think the other 3 show that I have the capability of using good judgment about things to post here, even though I don't have any good ideas at the moment.

Capers (were I making that thread today, the OP would've included more text to inspire discussion, most likely a story about whatever delicious meal involving capers inspired me to post it)
