Really ugly board. I think I play it like you did and call the shove.

But as JP says, it's prolly better to call behind / reevaluate on this particular flop that hit a lot of hands your average villain likes to play.

the problem with calling and reevaluating on the turn is: what turncards make me play the hand to a showdown? any diamond, of course, makes hero's hand unplayable. an ace rather hurts than helps. all we can hope for is another K or a J, but they still don't give us a guarantee to win. i'd probably bet out and fold if raised. but i suck at poker.

I think the general idea would be to have a cheap showdown / free cards.

C/r/fold is ugly, because our hand has plenty of value (TPTK + gutshot + backdoor everything). If you decide to c/r as OP did, you must call the push, imo.
