Default Stars vs. Full Tilt paper check process

FTPDoug, if you are out there this is kind of a pathetic comparison. See below for the responses I got for payouts both requested today

Pokerstars
A check for $2200.00 will be issued.
Credit transaction #********

Please allow 15 business days for check delivery.

Your PokerStars Account Information:
Name: adam cohen
Email: **********
User ID: *********

Full Tilt
If you would like Full Tilt Poker to send you a check, we must first
verify your account information. Please email or fax us a clear and
legible copy of your photo ID along with proof of address. The name and
mailing address on your ID must match your Full Tilt Poker account
information.

Once you are verified for checks, you will need to request a cashout
through the Cashier window. Approved checks are delivered by regular
mail in 25-35 business days . At this time, we regret that we are
temporarily unable to deliver checks by UPS to US residents. We are
working speedily to have this option available to US residents again
soon.

I hope epassporte sets up for me soon because I really don't want to have to wait 7-8 weeks for a check. thanks

I requested a paper check from Stars last wednesday (usually use Neteller obv) for the first time for ~2500. It arrived monday morning at 9:00 AM. It's almost faster than my neteller cashouts were (always took the max of 72hrs). I was very pleased.

PS: It came via FedEX and you have to sign for it.

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question..but...

Will there be any problem now or in the near future regarding depositing checks in a US bank from a poker site?

Thanks

Nobody has reported any problems, that I have seen.

In the future, there may be problems. Probably the Legislation forum would be a good place to search/post if you are interested in learning more.

i'm crossing my fingers that there's not. the bill didn't change anything about a player withdrawing money from a poker site, so hopefully they'll leave that alone.
