Stop being a pussy and confront him. WTF, you live with two other people, how could he possibly deny this? Here's how I dealt with the same problem:

1st time: "Hey, could you please not eat my food"
2nd time: "I'd appreciate it if you bought your own food. The store is a long way away and it's a pain to carry everything back here"
3rd time "Look [censored], buy your own [censored] food. How many [censored] times to have to tell you this? I don't want this [censored] to happen again"

This solved the problem.

If you aren't feeling confrontational, a mini fridge in your room is clearly the way to go. Otherwise, catch him in the act and make a big deal out of it.

I do have a mini-fridge in my room, but it usually filled with drinks. I'm also on the third floor, whereas the kitchen is on the first.

I could put another fridge in the kitchen. I guess I'm just ranting on what it's like to live with someone who has the responsibility of a 12 year old.

You dunk your penis in your leftovers and make sure the others know about it. I know it's gross, but you only have to do it once and the threat of tainted leftovers will stop his stealing forever.

Does your roommate get really drunk a lot? This is the #1 cause of food theft.

When I had roommates, we just split the grocery bill and all the food was up for grabs. Although if you brought home leftovers from a restaurant, it would be rude for someone else to eat it.

Buying our own food just seemed impractical. This way, we each only had to go to the grocery store like once a month, and we didn't need to have three cartons of milk in the fridge all the time.

Well I just lost some respect for suzzer. Seriously, there is no reason to eat another man's food if there isn't some sort of prearranged agreement. I hate when my roommates do this. Luckily, it hasn't been an issue with my most recent roommates.

I don't see how tainting leftovers is a good solution. You're aware that he will just taint food right back at you right? I would just make living there very difficult for him if he refuses to stop using your stuff....Throwing his food out, eating it for him, etc.

i'm impressed that worked. I have the problem where I think we all eat different things and most likely different amounts.
