It was a big overbet but should I have folded? I have the absolute nuts at the time. Villain was just gambling and hoping that I had K. Absolutely atrocious.

Comments and replies needed. Thank you guys.

this hands hillarious. without a read i think folding is correct; however, folding is never +EV.

This is a very easy fold.
There is no money in the pot,and he could be freerolling to a flush.
I posted a hand like that about 1 year ago, I was in the same spot
I had j6 in big blind limped pot
flop came AcKc10s
went check-check
Turn came Qd
I bet $8 guy put me all in for $400
I called, and choped the pot, however he had J8c, and was on a big time freeroll.
So you have to fold in this spot, best you could hope for is to split very small pot.

i think villain played it really well actually. he knows if the 3rd diamond hits he's not getting your whole stack and the only way he is is to push now. with your turn bet its very possible you could have a K.

lol don't know if you could fold this though. you would have to be certain he had Kxdd.
folding and showing would be the best metagame move in the history of metagame moves though...

depends on the opponent
if he has 100% Kxdd it is obv pretty big -EV call
if he has like 10% non-str8 (lets assume with 10% chance to win) 40% Kx without a flush draw (i.e. with Kd knowing that you cant freeroll) and 50% Kxdd it would be pretty precisely +-0

if you call and chop the pot, you only win 12.5$ by the call, so I think against most opponents I would fold
