Do you have some great read that allows you to bet this flop for value? Or are you bluffing?

Neither...I just thought betting outright was better than checking and being forced to make a decision if he bet. Basically I figured there was a good chance I was ahead, and that it would become much harder to play the hand by checking. Is that reasoning invalid?

check the flop, then call if he bets reasonable, after the turn i think i would lead into him after the 2nd ace comes

since I would never check an ace there doesn't this expose my hand
