Default Jackson Rancheria Championship Tourney

Any 2+2ers heading to Jackson next Sunday for the tourney? Any going for the side games? I think I might head up for some side game action...or are all of the tables going to be used for the tourney??

I can't help you with the tourney, but I know that I usually don't go play in Jackson, because they have such low limits. The games are very soft, though, so you should have a ball. It is a 18yr casino, so you'll have some youngsters at the table.

Can you share some specific info on the tourney? Buyin, levels, etc? I've never been there before but would consider going.

Also, does 3/5 NL get spread there regularly?

If not, where in the area does spread a NL game higher than 200 Max?

Just talked to card room manager, funny they didn't have anything on their site.

From what I gather...

500+? Buy-In.
10,000 Starting Chips.
30 Minute Levels starting at 25/50.

He said that signups were starting on the 29th but the tourney started on the 5th??

Anyone have better specifics for date? Gonna call back tomorrow if not.

Hey Corpsebean,
I too talked to the poker room manager (i think he goes by fatshark on 2+2) but it was a while ago. It is funny that they didn't have it on their site. He said that the sign ups start a week before the tourney. If I remember correctly, the 3-5 looked like a really good game and I think a few tables were going on the Friday night I went. According to fatshark, it is a loose aggressive game filled with gambooolers.

That would be a strange tournament if it starts on a Monday. What kind of tournament is it?

I have only seen 1/2 NL 100 max, 2/5 NL 200 max, 3/5 500 max, 3/6 LHE and 4/8 LO8 go there. I don't remember seeing a 10/20 LHE game.

I can also confirm that the NL games are loose aggressive gamboooooool games (UTG raise to 14, 5 cold callers, small blind calls, BB shoves his remaining 98, gets called by one of the cold callers in MP and BB's 97 wins unimproved was my personal favorite).
