Neteller Has Responsibility to Shareholders

As a publically traded company, Neteller has a responsibility to it's shareholders. They are losing 70% of their business because of U.S. regulation and their Founders have been arrested on charges of money laundering. They have frozen operations because, surprise surprise, they don't want to be put out of business. It is still possible that other principals involved with Neteller could be extradited to face charges in the U.S. If they continued to operate in face of the arrests, it would be more likely that the U.S. would attempt to prosecute more individuals.

The question of U.S. online poker playing legality has always been a murky issue. All those who play, even recreationally understand that it's possible that they are breaking the law. Perhaps it's an uninforceable law, but we're just not sure.

We have to jump through the hoops of putting money into banks in other countries which then transfer that money to the poker sites in still other countries.

We've gambled that everything would run smoothly and we lost. How badly has yet to be determined, however one thing is certain:

The more Neteller is pushed and prodded, it's support system taxed and it's reputation soiled, the more difficult it will be for Neteller to come to a decision on how to proceed that will make those of us with money at stake happy.

Remember, you couldn't put money from your U.S. bank or credit card into a U.S. based online poker site. This should have been your red flag.
