Someone needs to ask them why they can't just send a check drawn on whatever European bank they have the funds in. Maybe I'm not understanding something. Why wouldn't that work?

[/ QUOTE ]

xxxxx: why they Neteller just send a check drawn on whatever European bank neteller has the funds in.
Nathan: because the bank account is registered to neteller, your bank wont accept it.

Adam: And I'm to understand I can't transfer to a friend in another country?
Nathan: You can still do a peer to peer.
Adam: Well I can't while my EFT's are locked in pending. I also read online that a few accounts have been locked for doing peer to peer transactions
Nathan: I can send a request to have them canceled for you if you like?
Adam: well I guess I don't have a choice on that correct considering it will never go through
Nathan: that is correct.

I might be interested in buying NETeller money. FWIW, I wrote the FAQ about how to protect your computer from hackers in the sticky in this forum (I used to be ColdCaller), I worked for PokerStars, and I am a general stand-up guy.

Other points that aren't so relevant:

-I throw a gyroball
-I can be a jerk
-but not when I want your money

PM me if interested with your AIM name to speak more about it at length.

xxxxx: but i have heard some accounts getting suspended/locked that way
Nathan: I have not heard that, I happen to be in both security and fraud at NETELLER. As far as I know that is not true. note, I'm referring to our side not theirs.
xxxxx: ok nathan, if i do this and my account and the foreign account gets locked, i'm going to hold you to it
Nathan: you got a deal. keep in mind that is on our side. If your merchant decides they dont' like it. that's different.

I wouldnt trust any Neteller CS. I've heard so many stories today that prove they don't know much of the situation.

i just called neteller to cancel an outstanding eft. our conversation went like this:

me: please cancel eft
nt: ok, anything else?
me: what is the best way to get my money out?
nt: well you can transfer to a nonamerican......and so on.

so ya i thought it was interesting that they were now recommending this method outright (note: i didnt prompt them about it.)

Just got off the phone with VIP CS rep. She was very helpful, quick and decicive with her responses, bascially sounded like she knew what she was talking about. Take it for what it's worth:

I explained the situation, and she suggested I P2P to a non-US and have them immediately withdrawl the money. I asked if it would be a problem for them to send those funds to a poker-site instead, and she said DON'T do that. She said both accounts need to be certified (obviously). She looked at my account and didn't see any problem.

I also asked her about the situation of the non-US member accepting the funds from a US IP. She said to make sure my recipient is not in the US when he logs in to his NT account.

I have a friend in Canada who I'm going to ask to help me out. It appears that worse-case scenario for trying is that the accounts get temporarily frozen, and can be quickly fixed.
