AKs Big Pot
2/5 Live
SB seems solid with around $425. He has seen me raise a few pots after isolating the field and taken them down w/o showing. I sense that he wants to take a stand soon. LMP is fishy w/ about $240. I cover on button w/ AcKc 2 limps, I raise to $30, SB thinks for a bit and calls, LMP calls. Flop: 8h9hAs SB checks, lmp checks, I bet $50, SB raises to $150, LMP calls after hesitation. Action is to me w/ $100 to call, SB has about $250 left and LMP has about $70 left. Pot is about $445ish, $545 after my call and before I put in any raises. What is my best line here. |

Re: AKs Big Pot
i agress i would think SB has 8s or 9s (hesitation? fom other guy means weak aces/draw?), but i am pushing that flop. as he may have ax or aj (aq?)
or alternatively you could rereriase a meduim amount more, then be faced with tough spot if he pushes.. if he is solid then its sets/or strght + FD (which may have fewer outs if other player is also drawing). overall i am inclind to push (as u said he is also gettin irratated with ur raises aq/aj possble also), i would fall in love with ak i feel and push.. Re: AKs Big Pot
condidering your read on SB wanting to take a stand soon i like pushing, but without a read like this I would fold and assume he will have A8 A9 88 or 99 too many times for this shove to be +EV.
I am not sure what to think of LMP's cold call on the flop though. Do most of you assume it is a donk with a draw or do you think he could have us beat? If it was a good player cold calling 150 on the flop I would assume it is a standard fold... thoughts? |
