Is This Cheating?

Meh, I don't feel like reading through the whole thread, and probably my response has either been stated before, or will get lost in this big thread, or both, but..

I don't think it's cheating. However, since I'm a winning player I will say something 99% of the time if I can see someones cards.

But if I'm stuck big time I might make an exception. Or, as recently almost happened, if someone discusses his hand with a partner in a language they don't assume I understand, I'll shut up just because I'll look like a badass if I make a big 'read' and call them down light.

It's the opposite of beggars. Do I feel like I should give them money? Hell no. However, I might make an exception.

Basically, whenever I do the move that is less profitable for me (99% of the exposed cards cases, 1% of the beggar cases), I consider myself an honorable guy. That doesn't mean I feel morally obligated to do it, though.

[/ QUOTE ]The moment you realize you're playing against someone with Parikinson's disease, you have to resolve the moral dilemma of whether or not you wanna take advantage of a disabled person, a person with a disability that clearly puts him into a disadvantage, all other things being equal. (I.e. you can play poker against Stephen William Hawking if a dealer is holding the cards for him.) Because such a disability will inevitably manifest itself, and in various ways, e.g. an inability to protect one's cards.

If you feel OK with taking money from such a physically incapacitated person (irrespective of whether that person wants to go ahead with it) then the rest of the "issues" are already resolved.

It's not cheating.

It is, however, dishonorable. Ask yourself...if you were in that situation...would you want someone to let you know you were flashing your cards inadvertently? Yes.

what I would definitely do, however, is tell a guy who is wearing sunglasses that I can see his cards from the reflection (even though I can't), just to mess with his head.

You politely tell him that you can see his cards reflected in his glasses. It's the right thing to do.

The reason why the artery is different is that there is no physical tell I know of that is 100% reliable.

Get a grip, obviously neither is cheating. One is stupidity, the other is perception. Taking advantage of opponent's stupidity is what poker is all about.

I cant believe seeing someone cards in their glasses is cheating. If the dealer managed to catch you, would the casino ask you to leave for cheating? I dont think so.

I have a question, is this cheating? Two players get all in pf and you have AK vs their A4, Board reads 99883, you remain silent and the dealor pushes the pot your way without a word from anyone at the table. You keep the pot.

No and IMO it's no different than a player that elects to play his or her cards face up.
