This is a spot I hate so badly it makes me sick. No reads on UTG. MP1 (the caller) is Str8$$$Homey, I don't really know how he plays but he's good and usually plays higher, but you probably know that. What type of hands would he call with?
I'm pretty sure I played this horrible, so what's the best line? Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t25/t50 8 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t1175 UTG+1: t1420 MP1: t1645 Hero: t1440 CO: t1505 Button: t1520 SB: t1235 BB: t3560 Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is MP2 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG raises to t150, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls t150 (pot was t225), Hero calls t150 (pot was t375), CO raises all-in t1505, 5 folds, Hero folds. Uncalled bets: t1355 returned to CO. Results: Final pot: t675 |

Barf...I don't really see villain doesn this with AA or KK (raise to 500 probably more likely) so you are probably a flip, but I could be wrong. Having said that I usually find myself folding in your situation.

Why isn't pushing the first time round not the standard play?
