I love suspenders. I used to have a pair in high school, but dont have them anymore. Along those lines mixed w/ the look of overalls, I'm buying these pants:

A lot of traditionalists (like the people at this forum: http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/forum/index.php ) prefer suspenders to belts and insist that suit trousers were meant to hang from the shoulders, not be cinched in at the waist (or hips).

I'm picking up a new suit from the tailor next week and will probably get suspenders to wear with them.

Overalls and suspenders are in that category of "traditionally male dress that looks alternative and cool on women".

I think suspenders can be pretty awesome, but they need to go with the whole look. Like Daver mentioned. If you're going to wear them, you have to go all out.
