Oh phooey, I took the CLE/PHL Over 185.5 this morning with LeBron James probable. Now he's definitely sitting out with his sore toe and the o/u is down to 180.

My other play is PORT/HOU Over 179. They only got 176 in their last meeting (December), but looking at each team's last 5 games they've been scoring more.

I'd be inclined to bet the Under on Port/Hou because of the Rockets' great defense and both teams' relatively slow pace compared to the rest of the league...

Good to see everyone chiming in! I'd vote for the weekly thread, where we all post in one thread. Anyone can start it for the week, just call it the NBA thread - all posters welcome, and then we'll know to go there. Records preferably posted beneath your picks, at least for the first one posted that day.

Great call by McFadden and any others on Philly +points over Cleveland. They beat Cleveland on the road a couple nights ago, even with LeBron, and is now facing them at home. With Lebron out, I like them to win again, and took them even at the lower spread, since I'm late to the party.

Also like the Under, as they scored 184 at the end of regulation last time, and Cleveland now needs to replace LeBron's 39 pts that game. Other people will step up, of course (would love to bet Hughes over pts, if reasonable, but didn't see any props for that game, understandably), but it's still tough to replace LeBron's 27 ppg.
