10/20 Live out of position
10/20 live cash game 8 players, I'm the big stack with $5k ish.
UTG raises to $60, I raise to $160 with black KK folds to the button who thinks for a bit and calls (he has ~$3.5k). Blinds fold, UTG calls. Flop J 7 2 rainbow -UTG bets $110, I raise to $710 -Button thinks for a minute before calling, UTG folds Turn 9 (J 7 2) -I check, button bets $700, I insta-call River 3 (9 J 7 2) -I check, Button pushes for ~2k Hero? Button is a very quiet player who is tight but knows when to make moves. The kind of guy you don't notice until he takes a bunch of your chips. I think my preflop RR was way too little, should have gone $220-240 with that many left to act. Also c/c on the turn was real weak, now I like c/f better. Thoughts? |

Re: 10/20 Live out of position
raise more pf this deep, and i think folding the turn is fine, all you beat is QQ or a stone bluff

[/ QUOTE ] Yes 220 is minimum PF this depp, i like your flop play with a bet like this u know very well where u are standing in the hand and a bluff from the button is very improbably couse he has to be afraid from the action after him (He cant know if UTG dont want to raise) So the call from the button is never a bluff (beside he knows very well where he is standing in this hand against u but u dont know where u stand against him and so the call is very strong)i would put him on a range like QQ,AA or a set when he is a solide good player. Dont think he called the reraise preflop with JX except hes a sucker. If i think the Button is a solide good player i would check fold the turn couse u only beat QQ! If i think the button is an idiot i would look for pot control...c/c the turn and block the river. Hope U like my thoughts |

Re: 10/20 Live out of position
His turn bet looks like it really wants a shove. I think you should dump turn, your hand looks big and he called the $700 cold on a drawless board.

Re: 10/20 Live out of position
Just to add some info, I had tangled with villain once before.
I limped with AA, he raised from the button, I RR, and he calls. Flop comes all rags and all diamonds, I bet 750ish, and he RR all in for 3k. I called after about 4 minutes and he showed 36o with a diamond for just a flush draw...he failed to catch. With this info does anyone want to call the river? |

But i dont think it is a bluff couse u didnt played him headsup on the flop so i would say he has something and there are no draws out |
