Should I play this game? You decide!
My choice is I play this crazy home or play a £10 rebuy at my local casino. Here's the deal.
The night will start with a player £20 SNG. As there was £30 left in the kitty after the last game the prize pool will be sweatened to £210 The tourney will be NL holdem and Pot limit Omaha The blinds rise every 12 hands. Payout is 110 70 30 After that we're playing a 1.50/3 limit cash game The guy who's game it is buying a semi decent table and wants to pay for with a rake and blind fines. The rake will be capped at £1 for a pots £15 and higher and the fine are: Small blind Exposing cards when dealing Not dealing cards on more than one occasion when it’s your deal Missing out a small blind Throwing a chip in so that it rolls toward another players stack Big blind Missing out a big blind Big bet Spilling a drink / spitting out a mouthful of drink Exposing cards when mucking hand Ten big bets Vomiting / urinating / defecating on or near the precious table (vomiting with rage at a bad beat is OK) Ok so that's the game now what do you reckon? I was on the fence about it but am tempted by the sweetened prize pool, plus I think I have an edge at the omaha. |

Re: Should I play this game? You decide!
I can't imagine a home game like this is really fun?
Fine: Small blind Throwing a chip in so that it rolls toward another players stack I can't imagine playing low limit with such nitty rules and would prolly head to the casino. |

Re: Should I play this game? You decide!
All the fines could lead to this being an amazingly annoying game. Paying a rake is one thing, but all these fines are pretty lame.
Hit the casino. |

Bad poll- are you asking us if you should play in the home game, with NO = rebuy tourney which you seem to prefer?
I'd avoid the home game because of all the stupid nit penalties. |

Re: Should I play this game? You decide!
Don't play in that game. If the host wants to buy a poker table he should bear the burden. Not you guys.
If you are friends, he can ask you guys to chips in or something but taking rake is bad. |

Knowing that at any time it will only cost you 30 to crap all over his table, I say eat some fish burritos and saddle up.

I'd probably play this game once, nutpeddle my way up about 10bb while eating the greasiest, most disgusting foods available, then wait for the owner to get into a big hand, then crap all over his precious table, hand him the 30 in chips, demand to cash out, and leave. And on the way out, I'd give the owner his obligatory KITN for using blind fines in what should be a friendly game. |
