WPT VS WSOP

Maybe I shouldn't say this out loud but how is it ok for the wpt to still allow online qualifiers to enter but wsop is banning them. They are not afraid?

The WSOP's statement was that they will not accept online qualifiers, and they never have.

This requires a little reading b/w the lines. Somehow your site of choice registers you into the tourney but their name isn't sponsoring your entrance.
