Music recommendation: Nellie Mckay
I recently purchased her double album "Pretty Little Head", and she is just amazingly tanted. Her music is heavily piano based & and I can't recall and artist so young producing such eclectic work. There are some poppy songs, a French whimsical song, soma political rocky tunes, even rap! 23 songs in all, and I dont skip many of them on a replaying. She seems not to have made it big based on playing almost 100% of her gigs in New York, but is highly recommended.

Re: Music recommendation: Nellie Mckay
I never really got into this one. I just couldn't get past the rapping and some of the other weirder songs... "Pounce, pounce, Meow, like a pussy cat!" comes to mind.
That said, she is definitely talented. There are some definitely some good songs mixed in there. |

This isn't English is it?
English music has been entirely disappointing since The Spice Girls. |

I don't know why I made a stupid joke. She's real good.

Dean,
Agree 100%. If you haven't heard her debut album, "Get Away From Me," yet, do so at first opportunity. It's better than the new one in many ways. |

Bought it from itunes a couple of hours ago. First impressions are that it's fair bit weaker.
