Comp. Meltdown on Crypto
Hi
I have just begun playing on Crypto, but the problem is that after one or two hours or maybe more, suddenly my computer shuts down and restarts. This is really anoying when you play multible tables. I bought a new computer some months ago, so I don't think it is because it is old or anything. Has anyone else tried this too? I hope someone has a solloution to my problem. Thomas |

Re: Comp. Meltdown on Crypto
Sudden shut-downs are generally hardware related. Like bad ram. Or powersupply. (Sometimes it's OS related, or maybe harddrive, but those usually give you some sort of warning, though, not immediate power-down.)
I don't think this has anything to do with Crypto, although if you're importing nonstop with Pokertracker, you'll be generating more heat as you max-out your processor for long periods, so that might contribute. -Sam |

Re: Comp. Meltdown on Crypto
Okay, thanks for the answer. But when I look at my CPU, I can see that it only uses 4-8% of my CPU.
And a few seconds before my Computer shuts down, there is some noice from Crypto. Does Crypto use much more CPU power than fx. Stars? I only import every 2 min. with PT |

Re: Comp. Meltdown on Crypto
Crypto does use a lot of CPU poker compared to other sites. I have a P4 3ghz chip and can play 4 tables on most sites without the CPU going above 10-20% (Even with PT/GT+)
On cypto is can get to 100% sometimes and slow the tables and cards right down. |
