Default Poker in Tunica? Anyone been?

My town is a frozen hell right now with more snow on the way. I just realized that Tunica is only a 5 hour drive from my house, and I'm seriously thinking of taking a poker vacation down there.

I'd be looking to play $1/2 nl cash, and more so find some nice live tournies with $100-$200 buy ins.

Anyone have experience there? Games easy to find? Soft games?

Thanks,

-Scott

The World Poker Open is going on at Gold Strike and WSOP Circuit event just ended. There is tons of low limit NL action at Gold Strike in the main poker room.

The nightly second chances, which are the smallest tourneys at Strike, are $550, but they do have single table sats as low as $65 and some of the other rooms might have smaller tourneys.

Tunica's awesome in January, go.

I went for the opening weekend of the WPO at the Strike. Played in the 500+50 and took 8th. Played in the 500+50 on Saturday and build a good stack early, but decided that the giggly girl at my table needed all my chips and donked them away to her.

The tourney are VERY soft early, but are as you would expect they get tougher as you get closer to the FT. At my FT, Eskimo was on my immediate left. Neato.

The side games and satellites are soft. I would love to go with ya, but gotta work. I will be going back in the summer for the WSOP Circuit event.
